It happens to all of us every now and again. We find ourselves down and out from some sort of virus we’ve managed to catch in our day to day lives.
Today I found myself totally incapable of doing much of anything besides lying on the couch, snuggling under some cozy blankets and drinking a warm cup of tea, while I dream about the days I could actually breathe out of my nose.
With that said, I unfortunately was not able to do an outfit post for today. Boo! I’m hoping I’ll be back to my regular self by Friday, in time for my next scheduled posting. At least I have these pretty, pink flowers to cheer me up.
In the mean time, I thought I would talk about some of my favourite teas out there. I’m a huge fan of the herbal, loose-leaf teas available from David’s Tea. My top favourite being one called “Midsummer Night’s Dream”, which is a decaf tea that blends together sweet apples, spearmint, gooseberries, marigold and rose. It’s super flavourful and totally delicious. Highly recommended.
When it comes to pre-bagged teas, hands down the best tea I’ve ever had comes from a brand called Yogi. They have the tastiest tea I’ve ever had the joy of drinking that comes from a grocery store, and are also both natural and organic. My top two flavours are definitely the blueberry green tea, and peppermint tea.
Peppermint tea has tons of benefits, and is my all-time favourite tea flavour. A cup of peppermint tea can help your digestion, relieve multiple cold and flu symptoms, boost your immune system, reduce bad breath, relieve stress and more.
Green tea is a well-known aid to boosting metabolism, and is a popular choice for many health-conscious consumers out there. But, it also has some other incredible benefits. Green tea is said to improve brain function, lower your risk of cancer, and kill bacteria.
Basically, if you’re not on the tea drinking bandwagon already, you should be.
