Minnie Style- Rock the Dots

On January 23rd, a new exhibition at The Paper Agency in L.A. opened to the public, called Minnie Rock the Dots. The exhibition featured a collection of Minnie Mouse inspired style and collaborations- past, present, and future- to showcase the inspiration the famous mouse has had across the world of fashion and pop culture.

As a Disney fanatic myself, it seemed only natural that I should dedicate one of my lookbook posts to one of my favourite style icons, Minnie Mouse. So here I present to you, the Minnie Style lookbook!

Look #1: The Classic Mouseketeer

Sweater: Abercrombie & Fitch; Skirt: Rachel Antonoff; Mouse Ears: Hong Kong Disneyland

Shoes: Hautelook

The first look I put together uses Minnie’s classic dots she’s so well known for in a poofed out, high-waisted skirt, and a bright red sweater, since one of her favourite colours to wear is a beautiful red! The shoes I would pair with this outfit are these adorable open toe, bow shoes in a lovely shade of red.

Look #2: Minnie Cool

Jacket: Guess; Top: Forever 21; Jeans: Express; Bag: Michael Kors; Sunglasses: Ray Bans

For this look, I decided to go down a “cooler” route. This time, I used Minnie’s classic dots in a cute polka dotted crop top, that I layered under a red, pleather jacket, that’s honestly one of my favourite pieces I have in my closet. I decided to stick with a basic, black pant as a bottom since I have so much already going on in this outfit. I decided to go with a bright yellow drawstring purse, to tie in Minnie’s bright yellow heels she loves to wear with her polka dot dresses. Finally, I went with my rounded sunglasses because they reminded me of Minnie’s cute, rounded mouse ears!

Look #3: Hanging Out with the Mouse

Sweater: Forever 21; Skirt: b+ab; Hat: Call It Spring; Sunglasses: Ray Bans

For the last look, I decided to go with a more laid back and casual style. So, I took my trendy Minnie Mouse 3/4 sweater, and paired it with a super comfortable striped, black skirt. To top it all off, I threw on a bejeweled beanie with a nice, light pompom on top.

Jewelry: Pandora

The same jewelry was used in each look, and both my ring, charm bracelet, and charms can be found at Pandora.

That’s all for this week’s lookbook! My question to you this week is who is your style icon? Style icons can be real people or fictional characters, so the possibilities are endless 😛
